Amply awarded $250K MassCEC Innovate grant
Amply is honored to be awarded a $250,000 grant from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center as part of its InnovateMass Program. Amply was chosen from a competitive field to receive this funding to develop software to make it easier for HVAC contractors to scan a home using LiDAR, conduct a Manual J heat load calculation, pick and place the right equipment to design a heat pump system, produce a beautiful design document, and seamlessly handle government rebates.
Amply's software takes the complicated, fragmented process most heat pump installers have to go through today and streamlines it all in a single platform. Amply's solution eliminates the "homework" HVAC installers have to do on nights and weekends, letting the entire process be completed during a single walk through a home.
"We're thrilled and honored to receive this grant," said Ed Smith, Amply co-founder and Massachusetts resident. "We are immediately putting this grant to use funding our software development. As we roll out our software to heat pump installers in Massachusetts and beyond, our goal is to simplify and accelerate home electrification in the Commonwealth and across the U.S."
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) is a state economic development agency dedicated to accelerating the growth of the clean energy and climatetech sector across the Commonwealth to spur job creation, deliver statewide environmental benefits, and secure long-term economic opportunities for the people of Massachusetts.
